Only a few more days left before I leave. Packing is mostly done now, my cousin Tim visiting from Australia and his friend Kevin are having a good time here, enjoying the laid back atmosphere, pleasant weather and the food-keep in mind they're visiting from hot, humid and crowded Guangzhou..it wouldn't be hard to top that.
I've posted a couple sets of random people and places photos I've put up on my new
Flickr photo site. In the future, I'm going to put up more photo galleries on my site; the main reason I just throw photos onto the main page here is for convenience-surfing and downloading/uploading files on the internet sucks in mainland China.

I've received many going away gifts over the past 2 weeks and I'd like to use this spot to thank them.
IT0311 Class: Many thanks for the signed NFL football. It's one of the best gifts I have ever received! You are one of the best bunch of students I've taught. Stay lively, study hard and be yourselves always. Remember, honesty
is the best policy. You're a special group!
IT0304 Class: Many thanks for the signed memory book, stay out of trouble, Sue!
IT0312 Class: Thanks for the signed memory book and beautiful photos. Also thanks for the Korean DVDs. Avoid getting into any more fights, but don't turn the other cheek either. Listen to whatever Teddy has to say!
IT0310 Class: Thanks for the cool apron you got me as well as the cloth artwork. I'll think of you every time I cook!
Neulion Class: Thank you very much for the Monkey King cartoons. It'll definitely help me with my reading Chinese skills! I will miss the cultural discussions with you guys. Good luck with Robert.
Susan:You are a great friend and supporter during my stay in China. I will always remember the good times in Hangzhou and sharing your time in America.
Ayi:Thanks for the special meals, helping my Chinese quickly and being my Chinese 'mother'.
Ricky: As far as little brothers go, you're a handful and a half. Stay focused on what you want to do.
Summer: Thanks for the music box/key ring, it's beautiful.
Joy: The mini horse statue you gave me is exquisite, it'll be on my desk wherever I am. Your kindness is unparalled.
Sue: Thanks for the notebook, I will use it as a journal when I travel.
Teddy: you're the most clever student I've taught in my two+ years here. Keep it real, dude. Remember to be vigilant of the EB!
To Yi Fei and Joan: you're the best TA's I've ever worked with!
Sinosplice John and ABTOM Wayne:Thanks guys for your information and help.I wouldn't have come to China if it weren't for your websites.
Many thanks to those who've taken me out to dinners and all the well wishes. I'll be back in Dalian for visits, you can count on that.
I leave this weekend so this may be my last post before I get back home. Stay tuned for 'Life in Canada' posts for a month; I plan on doing some Canadian summer activities when I'm back, like hanging out on patios, going up to my friend's summer home (also known as cottage). barbecuing, golfing, fishing, etc. Perhaps my western readers wouldn't be that interested but my Chinese readers will definitely be tuned in for that. Also, stay tuned for the Hong Kong edition of maskofchina.com in the next month or so. I'm hoping Greg will find time to help me out with that; I'm sure he'll do a great job with the design just like the current Dalian edition design.
When I get home I'll have a job interview for an
HK government schools primary school teaching position and I have another interview for a job with a college lined up when I get to HK in late July. Wish me luck!
To my family and friends, inside and outside of China, I sincerely thank you for the love, guidance and support that you have given me throughout my stay on the mainland.
All the best to my friends in the mainland, I'll miss you all and will return to see you often.
