Mask of China
Mask of China

Welcome to Canada, Stranger...

I'm back at home now. I arrived after a long 31 hour journey which included 14 hours combined stay in Shanghai and Vancouver airports and almost 1 hr wait for my luggage to get spit out of the luggage belt.

Lots to say but little time to say it. It's nice to be home. The air is very clean in Toronto compared to Dalian, supposedly one of the cleanest cities in China and Toronto is one of the dirtiest cities in Canada! After a year and a half absence, I've learned to appreciate Canada more since I've spent 2+years in China. There are always going to be pros and cons living in either country but there is definitely a lot less BS we have to put up with here.

I'm looking forward to Canada Day, Canada's 'independence' day on July 1. There will be a barbecue patio party with my uni friends and i'll have coverage of that.

I feel like a foreigner back here, some things have changed a bit but nothing major from what I can see. It's good to be back with family and old friends.
I hope my friends back in Dalian are doing well and just wanted to write a short note saying I got back safely and will write more when I have time.

More commentary and photos coming soon.
